Dr. Ryan Koppes Presents at FluidicMEMS Meetup

Dr. Ryan Allen Koppes presented his lab’s work at the FluidicMEMS Meetup this past Thursday. This event (held in the Samberg Center at MIT) was organized by FluidicMEMS, a dynamic community focused on bringing together individuals with a passion for microfluidics and MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems).

Dr. Koppes is the Principal Investigator of ABNEL’s sister lab, Laboratory for Neuromodulation and Neuromuscular Repair (LNNR). During his talk, he covered the history of organ-on-a-chip devices as well as his lab’s founding and development at Northeastern University. Through a series of short stories, Dr. Koppes both demonstrated his lab’s contributions to the world of organ-on-a-chip devices and instilled a newfound respect of the autonomic nervous system in the audience members’ hearts.
